Katupat Full Necklace

This meaningful piece features an acho’ atupat pendant—a traditional slingstone shape once used by CHamoru ancestors as a tool for hunting and protection. Flanking the pendant are side beads carved in the form of katupat. All stone elements have been hand-carved from locally sourced stones from LauLau, a place rich in natural and cultural significance. Tiny coconut bead spacers are interwoven throughout the piece, adding a natural contrast while honoring the island’s resourceful use of native materials. Every stone bead and the pendant itself were carefully handcrafted by CHamoru artisan Juan Ogo, preserving tradition through craftsmanship.
